The Reinvented 2013 Fusion. It’s ready. Are you?

The Ford Fusion returns for 2013 with an all-new design that features technological upgrades, European inspired chassis tuning and improved fuel economy for its hybrid edition. It is set to feature a Mondeo-based platform to match its European counterpart in the mid-size sedan category. As Ford unveils more information about the new Fusion ahead of the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, the newly engineered sedan is also rumored to have a hybrid edition that exceeds 40 mpg in combined fuel-economy. Additionally, the lineup will offer choices between a naturally aspirated V4 engine that tops 170 horsepower, or a 247 horsepower turbocharged 2.0L EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine. Though little is still known about the 2013 Fusion, one thing is for sure: Ford's popular sedan will arrive with more surprises and advanced technology than you can imagine.

New Features from Prior Year

Ford continues its tradition of adapting innovative technologies with the 2013 Fusion, which will feature a Lane Keeping System for improved driving safety. The Lane Keeping System uses a built-in digital camera to monitor and detect vehicle stability within a lane. When the system notices that the driver is veering out of a lane, it will signal the driver by vibrating the steering wheel. Previous versions of the Lane Keeping System were available only in luxury vehicles using expensive radar, but Ford has been working to make the technology both accurate and cost effective for midsize sedans like the new Fusion.
